Tom Marino is a professional trumpet player living in the Los
Angeles area.  Having grown up in the South Bay, he attended South
Torrance High School in 1976 and Palos Verdes High School
1977-1979. Tom was awarded many scholarships to attend California
State University, Northridge where he played lead trumpet in the
Award winning Jazz "A" Band for 4 years under the direction of Joel

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, Tom went back to
get his Master Degree in Education from the University of La Verne
(CA). Tom's professional career started at 15 years of age, doing
casuals around town. After High School he worked at Disneyland
with the Fanfare Trumpeters, the Tomorrowland Brass (with Wayne
Bergeron, Andy Martin, Alex Iles, and others), the "Show Biz Is"
show,  the Disneyland Band, and various other groups from
1980-1992. Tom was the Principle Trumpet Player for the San Gabriel
Civic Light Opera from 1991- 1997.

Some of Tom's credits include: CBS Television show, "Northern
Exposure" 4 years (Nominated for Grammy Award in 1994),
"Arrested Development", ABC - "Maximum Bob", NBC - "John
Laroquette Show", TV Mini-Series - "The Winds of War", CBS -
"Wolf Lake", Showtime Series - "Beggars and Choosers", "The
Mambo Kings", "The Player", "Necessary Roughness", "Hot Shots",
"Hard Eight", "You Stupid Man", "Frank Sinatra Story",and numerous
"Movie of the Week" productions.  Tom played on Rock & Roll Hall
of Fame inductee, Gregg Rolie's last album, "Roots". Gregg was the
co-founder of both Journey and Santana.

After touring with various road bands, Tom got married, had kids, and
started teaching. He has been teaching Music and coaching Athletics
at the Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, CA since 1993. Tom got so
busy with the teaching and the family that he actually stopped playing
from 2000 to 2005.  Now that his kids are older, Tom has been getting
back in the loop and staying busy playing around town. He is currently
playing on the new Television series, "Reaper" "Carpoolers", "Worst
Week" , "Modern Family" and the newly  released Documentary of
the life of Hunter S. Thompson called "Gonzo".
